Zebra faces lion in Tarangire, Tanzania (B&W) This zebra is leading a pack of a few hundred other Zebras and Wildebeests. After encountering a lion couple below the tree, this Zebra takes his responsibility into the extremes. Not only is it testing the danger, it is even challenging the lions. It should be said though that the lions are in mating mode, and cause no direct danger in that state. Still, an impressive sign of leadership. The Plains zebra

The plains zebra, also known as the common zebra, is the most common and geographically widespread species of zebra. Its range is fragmented, but spans much of southern and eastern Africa south of the Sahara. Six subspecies have been recognised including the extinct quagga which was thought to be a separate species.
