Closeup of snow-capped Antisana Volcano, Ecuador
Behold the snow-capped peak of Antisana Volcano, after which this reserve is named. Due to the ever present clouds, you need some luck to get a glimpse of it, this was our third try.
It's an active volcano that last erupted in 1802. Its peak is at 5,704m, making it Ecuador's 4th tallest peak. It's possible to climb to the summit. As I was about to do so, our guide said we don't have time for this and he preferred me alive to pay for the trip.
