Northern Red Bishop (Euplectes franciscanus) Saw a number of red bishops but this was the only one I could get any sort of picture of. The northern red bishop or orange bishop is a weaver belonging to the family Ploceidae. It was formerly regarded as a subspecies of the southern red bishop of the southern half of Africa. The two are now usually classified as separate species.
