Eastern Bearded Dragon
Some of the major differences between Eastern Bearded Dragons (Pogona barbatus) and Central Bearded Dragons (Pogona vitticeps) are the beard, Eastern's have a much more pointed beard, the spikes on the back of their heads tend to be more arrow shaped where as the central's have a more straight set pattern. And of course the locations they are both found in.
The eastern bearded dragon is an agamid lizard found in wooded parts of Australia. It is one of a group of species known commonly as bearded dragons. This species was originally described in 1829 by Georges Cuvier, who named it "Amphibolurus barbatus".

The eastern bearded dragon (Pogona barbata) lives in the woodland areas of eastern Australia. Males can grow up to 60 cm (24 in), while females tend to be a little smaller. As omnivores, they eat insects, fruit, rodents, and reptiles.
They aren't considered "friendly" and are quite wary of humans (rightly so). When threatened, a bearded dragon inflates its throat and displays its beard. If provoked further, it will open its mouth to display its bright yellow mouth. In the language of bearded dragons, we imagine this to mean: "Go away, I don't like you". {Spotted in NSW, Australia by Amy_90} #JungleDragon #easternbeardeddragon #beardeddragon #pogonabarbata
