  1. Must be a delicious flower. Posted 3 years ago
    1. They are called raspberry beetles I imagine because they like the flowers from raspberry bushes but I must say I also see them piling up quite often on Ranunculus so yes, it makes me wonder about these flowers flavor as well :-D Posted 3 years ago
      1. It reminds me when I was a kid and I rubbed buttercups all over my face and arms to try to convince my Mom that I had yellow fever and thus couldn't go to school. Luckily, I didn't get dermatitis from the flowers because they are poisonous and can cause skin reactions. Posted 3 years ago
        1. Haha! and me when I was a child I had duckies and we went to the garden together and we found these plants, Oxalis pes-caprae, which in the local dialect are called <agret> because their stem tastes nice, a bit vinegary. So my ducks ate the flower and I ate the stem :-D Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
          1. How cool that you had ducks! Posted 3 years ago
            1. I had them only temporarily because my house and garden were too small so when they grew up we gave them to friends who had a bigger house and land for the ducks :-) Posted 3 years ago
