Rare Gem!

This Squathopper - Thessitus nigronotatus was described back in 1863, somehow, they are rarely seen/documented and hardly any pictures of them to be found online for reference.

This was identified by a Taxonomist who specialises in Plant/Squathoppers.

Have encountered several other Squathoppers in the last 1 year identified to the genus Thessitus, but this is the first one able to identify to species level.

Note : Picture was taken on 04 Jan 2022, but date was wrongly set in the camera :D
