  3. Actually, it's not so rare, the African Skimmer, but indeed, if seen fishing "skimming" quite spectacular. And the young ones are easily overseen: no bright colours. Posted 3 years ago

The African skimmer is a near-threatened species of bird belonging to the skimmer genus ''Rynchops'' in the family Laridae. It is found along rivers, lakes and lagoons in Sub-Saharan Africa.
