Spotted Thick-knee - Burhinus capensis (Baby)
Seen in Pairi Daiza, Aug 2014. If you did not find the baby in the previous picture here is a close up. He is is left from the mother, next to her feet. The baby mimetizes so well the ground color, this is ideal to be protected from predators such as brids of prey!

The Spotted Thick-knee also known as the Spotted Dikkop or Cape Thick-knee, is a stone-curlew in the family Burhinidae.
