  1. Sweet <3. I saw one once at the San Diego Zoo. They limited the number of people who could see it, no photos allowed, and we had to be silent so we didn't stress it out. Posted 3 years ago

      1. Nice! I think the one I saw was either pregnant or had just given birth, but I can't remember. It was so special to see it, though, and I'm glad they take care with visitors in other places, as well. Posted 3 years ago

The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae, and its closest living relatives are the wombats. The koala is found in coastal areas of the mainland's eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
