Fairy Pins (Phaeocalicium polyporaeum)

Tiny black pinhead structures on the pilei of Trichaptum biforme. Phaeocalicium polyporaeum grows solely on T. biforme.

Yet another bucketlist item. I have been scouring T. biforme for years searching for it. Little did I know that I couldn't even see them with my naked eye. Or maybe I need to get bifocals? LOL
