Leucistic Spitting Cobra!
This was an amazing encounter but I didn't know it was a Spitting Cobra at the time I saw it, so wasn't aware of any potential danger! The goldish colour kind of threw me off as wasn't expecting to see this rarer form/colour.
I was going up a steep slope during a hike and this Cobra was slithering down the slope, so I was practically eye-to-eye level at it when I saw it! It didn't raised it's hood (hence couldn't tell it was a Cobra), continued to slither down around a tree and was just about a meter from where I was standing, I had to react quickly to get some pics, but my bright torch probably disturbed it and it quickly went into the bushes. I tried to chase after it but it was a lost cause.
Only knew the ID when I shared the pic to friends to find the ID. Not the best of pics, but happy to see this beauty.

The Equatorial spitting cobra also called the black spitting cobra, Malayan spitting cobra, golden spitting cobra, or Sumatran spitting cobra, is a species of spitting cobra found in Southeast Asia.
