And for those with keen eyes looking out for them, the clues to finding them is to search for the &#039;trigger lines&#039; as seen in this picture, but it is much more difficult than just described as the &#039;trigger lines&#039; are themselves very thin, less than 1 mm.<br />

The Spiders waits patiently behind their trapdoors for other insects to crawl across the &#039;trigger lines&#039; and they will then rush out to grab their prey.<br />

Trapdoor Spider - Liphistius murphyorum, fully out of it's burrow.

The Trapdoor :

What do we have here? This Trapdoor are seldom seen as by nature, they lives in their burrow and hunt from behind their 'trapdoor', hence their name.  And for those with keen eyes looking out for them, the clues to finding them is to search for the 'trigger lines' as seen in this picture, but it is much more difficult than just described as the 'trigger lines' are themselves very thin, less than 1 mm.<br />
