The Montbretia

''Crocosmia'' × ''crocosmiiflora'', montbretia, is a garden hybrid of ''C. aurea'' and ''C. pottsii'', first bred in 1880 in France by Victor Lemoine. The name "montbretia" is often found in horticultural literature.
