  3. I find the caterpillar more visually engaging with its green body and yellow stipes than the bland brownish color of the adult moth. Posted 3 years ago
    1. Me too, the pattern on this caterpillar is beautiful, but I wouldn't mind if I could photograph the Moth, I think it is the one that has a shape similar to a skull on its back...that would make a great shot ^_^ Posted 3 years ago

"Acherontia atropos" is the most widely known of the three species of Death's-head Hawk moth. "Acherontia" species are notorious mainly for a vaguely skull-shaped pattern on the thorax.
