  1. Interesting. Visually seems like a 100% match to me, but the species is described to be endemic to North America. Other observation platforms also show almost all observations in that continent, which suggests it's not introduced or cultivated elsewhere, or rarely so.

    I still believe the ID is correct, there doesn't seem to be look-a-likes, it's just an unusual location. Is this park you visited know to cultivate orchids?

"Cypripedium reginae", known as the showy lady's slipper, pink-and-white lady's-slipper, or the queen's lady's-slipper, is a rare lady's-slipper orchid native to northern North America. Although never common, this plant has vanished from much of its historical range due to habitat loss. It is the state flower of Minnesota.
