Helmeted Guineafowl at Tarangire
These are very common zoo and pet farm animals in Europe, yet it is great to see them in their real habitat in Africa. They're very useful cleaners, taking care of various ticks and other annoyances. They are able to make short flights when required.

The Helmeted Guineafowl is the best known of the guineafowl bird family, Numididae, and the only member of the genus "Numida". It breeds in Africa, mainly south of the Sahara, and has been widely introduced into the West Indies, Brazil, Australia and southern France.
