Cuckoo Gold wasp -Chrysis subcoriacea I could not believe my eyes and my luck when I saw one day this beauty very interested in the creivices of one of our very rusty house windows! This happened in May 2019 and unfortunately I have not seen one alike ever since then but now I know they are around, in my area :-)
It looks like Chrysis subcoriacea based on the images in this article but please correct me if my current ID is wrong:
1. Lucky! What a gorgeous wasp. It's like nature's jewels. Posted 3 years ago
1. It was really small and hovering in this crappy window frames we have in our bathroom :-D I think she was trying to look for a nesting crevice. it was so nice! Nature entering your house :-) it happens a lot here in the spring and summer from moths to grasshoppers, bees, wasps :-D Posted 3 years ago
1. We get spiders and pseudoscorpions inside during winter. In summer, it's the occasional fly or bee plus many moths and caddisflies. Posted 3 years ago
1. We actually have a bunch of resident spiders in different locations of the house..we always keep them. If we find one that is too big we evict her to our terrace with a nice mini garden. Scorpions I have not seen in muy house, I think is not warm enough here for them..I have seen them when I have been on trips in other areas of the world and inside the cabins we rented. No kidding when they say to always look inside your shoes before sticking your foot in if you do not want to have a painful surprise! Posted 3 years ago
1. We have resident spiders too! I adore them :). The pseudoscorpions are just tiny critters, not real scorpions, thankfully! They are only about 3 mm long and can't bite or sting.

Here's one that lived in my bathroom a couople years ago:
House Pseudoscorpion - Chelifer cancroides Isn't it so cute!!
My son found this pseudoscorpion on our bathroom wall. I stuck it in the fridge for a few minutes to slow it down before photographing it, and then set it free.
1. Wow! Nice, I had never seen these before! :-) Posted 3 years ago
1. They are so cute because they think that they are 'tough guys', but are so tiny, harmless, and cute! Posted 3 years ago
2. That is stunning! Posted 3 years ago
1. yes, they look like little jewels, I can't believe such beauties exist. The only less nice part of them is their cuckoo like behavior for reproduction :-) Posted 3 years ago
