Are you sure is a yellow vented bulbul and not a cream vented bulbul immature, Pycnonotus simplex? because at least in Borneo the yellow vented bulbul has its head white with a brown line on top and a dark line from beak to eye and is white with blotchy grey at the underparts....? Alternatively it could be that the same species has color variability depending on the geographical zone..I am no expert so I just ask out of curiosity :-) Posted 9 years ago

Pycnonotus xanthopygos is a member of the bulbul family. It is 20–25 cm (7.9–9.8 in) in length with a wingspan of 20–25 cm (7.9–9.8 in). Breeding populations are found from Central and Southern Turkey to Western Syria, Lebanon, Western Jordan, Israel, Sinai and western, central and southern Arabia.
