  1. Some sort of Bolete (family Boletaceae). Would have to see the underside/stipe/staining for a better ID :D Posted 3 years ago
    1. Thanks! yes, I did not think about it at the time. I also did not want to damage it as it was so nice looking and the only one around :-)

      Maybe is Leccinum versipelle because of the orange cap but since I did not check the stem I think it will not be easy to ID :-/

      1. Have you tried using a pocket mirror to photograph gills or flowers that are out of reach?

        P.S. It is still gorgeous <3 I understand not wanting to destroy the lone mushie on the trail!
