  2. My goodness, such a unique looking myna! I am so used to seeing the brown, black and grey mynas here in Australia. This is a real treat, thank you. I am reading the sad news that this is a critically endangered species due to an extremely small range, the tiny population in its native habitat plus illegal poaching. The Bali myna is a medium-sized, stocky myna, almost wholly white with a long, drooping crest, and black tips on the wings and tail. The bird has blue bare skin around the eyes, greyish legs and a yellow bill. Both sexes are similar. It is critically endangered and in 2018, fewer than 100 adults were assumed to exist in the wild.
