Sannantha virgata Commonly known as heath myrtle, this is a mid-sized, woody shrub with beautiful long weeping foliage that gets covered with tiny, honey-scented white flowers late spring and on through summer. New growth is a rich bronze colour maturing to very fine green foliage. <br />

Each flower just 5 mm diameter. Growing to 3 m. <br />

''Sannantha virgata'' is a flowering shrub species in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. It is endemic to New Caledonia. Plants grow to between 0.5 and 3 metres high. White flowers appear in spring or summer with 5 rounded petals surrounding 7 to 10 stamens. The fruits are 1–2 mm wide and 2–3 mm in length.

Similar species: Myrtles, Evening Primroses.
