  1. Hi Ferdy, I don't know why there was a bug with these older uploads, but the correct spelling for the binomial name is E. ruppelli, so I'm just re-identifying them as such. Posted 2 years ago
    1. Sorry, don't understand where you see the wrong spelling? Are there multiple species records? Posted 2 years ago
      1. You won't see it anymore, but all the previous photos had been IDed under E. rueppeli, with that extra "e", but then my photo got IDed as E. ruppeli, which generated a new species profile. I went and checked, and since the correct spelling is without that e, I re-identified those old photos to merge the two profiles Posted 2 years ago
        1. Got it. In a situation like this, I do need to do a cleanup still. The duplicate record still exists in the database, even if not visible on the site, and typing the wrong word again in the identification dialog would recreate the problem. Anyway, fixed now. Posted 2 years ago
          1. Great, thanks! Posted 2 years ago

The northern white-crowned shrike or white-rumped shrike, is a shrike found in dry thornbush, semi-desert, and open acacia woodland in east Africa from south eastern South Sudan and southern Ethiopia to Tanzania. Its binomial name commemorates the German naturalist and explorer Eduard Rüppell.
