Coot chick. This Coot chick survived an attack by swans,unfortunately some of its siblings were not so lucky.This one climbed onto the canal bank and looked as though it was going to succumb to the cold.However,one of its parents stayed with the chick for nearly an hour with it tucked under its wing and it made a full recovery.
