Chalarodon madagascariensis having a nap I spent like 10 min looking this little lizard enjoying his sunbath, carpe diem. At Analapetsa there is a lot of wind coming from the sea. That is why this one is closing his eyes avoiding the sand. There was a dozen of Chalarodon near this one, this was maybe a hunting place. ''Chalarodon madagascariensis'' is a species of Malagasy terrestrial iguanian lizard native to western, southern, and south eastern Madagascar. Until 2015, it was thought to be the only member of its genus, but a second species, ''C. steinkampi'' was recognised in 2015. It is not yet clear if the distributional range of these two species overlaps.
