Leaf Beetle (Donacia versicolorea)

I'm posting this to correct a previous misidentification where I named this species 'Plateumaris sericea', an extremely similar Leaf beetle.

I spotted my error after separately coming across D. versicolorea and immediately recognising it.

What are those identifying features. Without going into the minutiae, some pointers are given here:
