Buffalo Treehopper (Family: Membracidae) A Buffalo Treehopper I found on an overgrown part of the lawn. This individual was really skittish and always flew away when I got too close; luckily after two hours I was able to snap some close up photos. Also, if anyone can identify this insect to the species level That would be greatly appreciated:) <br />

  2. Funky looking species, love the colours. Smashing macro Wesley. You are incredibly patient - so impressive giving over two hours to observation and photography. Posted one year ago
    1. Thank you so much Ruth! It wasn't all patience though lol, there were lots of hoverflies and ladybird beetles in the same area as well so I photographed them while intermittently checking on the treehopper. Posted one year ago
