Shield Bug Hunting Digger Wasp (Astata boops)
You might quickly notice the surface upon which this little Digger wasp (note those eyes) has landed isn't the usual piece of vegetation.
It was in fact, the back of my left leg, which made photographing and filming it without scaring it off a little awkward, but I got there in the end.

''Astata boops'' is a Palearctic species of solitary wasp. It is associated with sandy habitats and preys on the nymphs of pentatomid bugs.
