  1. Listed as Critically Endangered, there is less than 250 and of these there are only 50-60 breeding adults. They live at between 1300-1760mts at Kosciusko Nat. Park.,in NSW. They are between 25-30mm, weigh 1-1.5g and live for 4yrs.They live in two different areas one for breeding which is either pools and seepages in sphagnum moss bogs and the other is sub-alpine woodlands adjacent to breeding area. Melbourne Zoo is in partnership with not only breeding but to stop the degradation of the frogs habitat, also in to research to increase the frog resistance to Chytrid Fungus is underway.
