Feathered Ranunculus (Polymixis lichenea) Not to be confused with the similar Large Ranuncalus (Polymixis flavicincta) from the same family &#039;Noctuidae&#039;, this is a locally found inhabitant of coastal areas of the south and Wales, and with less frequency in the north west. <br />

Flying between August and October. it frequents a range of dry habitats, including waste ground, sandhills and shingle beaches, as well as chalkdown slopes.<br />
