Yellow Crowned Parrot (Amazona ochrocephala) - My 100th Photo on JungleDragon
A Yellow Crowned Parrot I recently saw in Chaguanas.
I've been thinking what my special post should be and I decided on a parrot, as parrots are the birds which ignited my passion for wildlife photography and birdwatching, and as for which post I would consider my first milestone, I originally planned on my first milestone post being my 1000th post.
The yellow-crowned amazon or yellow-crowned parrot is a species of parrot native to tropical South America, Panama and Trinidad and Tobago. The taxonomy is highly complex and the yellow-headed and yellow-naped amazon are sometimes considered subspecies of the yellow-crowned amazon. Except in the taxonomic section, the following deals only with the nominate group.They are found in the Amazon basin.
