Flowering sea purslane (Atriplex portulacoides) growing on the mud flats in the Wadden Sea.
Syn: Halimione portulacoides. Wikipedia uses this as the primary name; the Dutch flora (Heukels' Flora van Nederland, 24th edition) puts the sea purslane under the genus Atriplex.

''Atriplex portulacoides'' or sea purslane is a small greyish-green shrub widely distributed in temperate Eurasia and parts of Africa. A halophyte, it is found in salt marshes and coastal dunes, and is usually flooded at high tide.
