  3. Certainly is, yours is very sharp, they're a challenge, maybe easier just after leaving the nest. These 2 leaving the next house to me. I've not seen the plain swift.

      1. You wouldn't probably recognise it as a nest - they nest under the eaves and that's about it! Amazing, and then 700 odd days before the young next touch something other than air. (when they next touch something on the ground). Posted 11 days ago

The plain swift is a medium-sized swift. Although this bird is superficially similar to a barn swallow or house martin, it is not related to those passerine species. The resemblances between the groups are due to convergent evolution reflecting similar life styles.
