  1. Pipits aren't particularly shy birds, but this has got to be the most fearless member of the genus! They often seemed as curious about me as I was about them, and often walked towards me, coming within a couple meters! Posted 3 years ago

The Berthelot's pipit is a small passerine bird which breeds in Madeira and the Canary Islands. It is a common resident in both archipelagos. Berthelot's pipit is found in open country. The nest is on the ground, with 3-5 eggs being laid.
