    1. Yes, unfortunately.

      I met a guy who are into Snakes, he told me when he was visiting Taiwan a few years back, he met up with a local Herping-guide and wanted to go out herping with him. Instead of taking into the forest, they went for a drive in the outskirts on roads bordering forest, and the local guy said each night of drive, he can find/see 20-30 snakes on the road!
