Ladybird emerging from pupae. Struggled to get a decent shot of this, and not sure what type of ladybird this will be, but will keep an eye out to see what emerges.   1. It looks like Harmonia axyridis to me. The larval exoskeleton can be seen stuck to the leaf and it appears to have double-branched spines as H. axyridis would have. Posted 3 years ago

"Harmonia axyridis", most commonly known as the harlequin, multicoloured Asian, or Asian ladybeetle, is a large coccinellid beetle. This is one of the most variable species in the world, with an exceptionally wide range of colour forms.
