A Western Firefly. Also known as a California Glowworm. I spotted this beetle on the side of a galvanized garbage can and since it was kind of dark I had to use the flash to get any kind of image.     1. Ferdy, I am guessing but would say that it was ~17mm long. Really quite impressive. It was hard not to notice because of those bright orange “spots”! Gary Posted 3 years ago
