  1. I do know that feeling, in the birding world it's called a "lifer", the first time you see a species. It's very satisfactory. In this case it's not just new to you, also new to the community, so your feeling is basically shared :)

Note that you don't have to limit yourself to one photo to upload. Whilst you shouldn't upload duplicate or near-identical images, photos from different angles are very much welcome and encouraged. The more angles, the better we collectively describe the species.

  3. Ha - my goal every time I go out these days is to notice/document something I haven't ever before... Some things I'm sure I've 'seen', but it takes more effort to really notice them... The more I do it, the harder it obviously gets, but more rewarding too. My latest fascination is just how many different flies there are out there. They've gone from something that is just annoyingly buzzing around my head to something I'm really taking the time to look at - at least when they'll hold still long enough :). 1. That's a good exercise indeed. I'm still new at the game so I think I still have a lot to discover :-D Posted 3 years ago
  4. I think that’s my favourite weevil! Posted 3 years ago
    1. It was the first one I saw in real life so, obviously, is my favorite one too ^_^ Posted 3 years ago
