Goliath Worm (Manduca sexta) This is actually two individuals. They had completely defoliated/destroyed my Serrano peppers (Capsicum annuum). I relocated them in hopes they won&#039;t destroy the rest of my plants, but I could never harm these amazing creatures!<br />

"Manduca sexta" is a moth of the family Sphingidae present through much of the Americas. The species was first described by Carl Linnaeus in his 1763 "Centuria Insectorum".
