    1. It definitely resembles a stinging wasp thanks to its aposematic coloring, but it's basically harmless. This species is a parasitoid wasp, so it lays eggs on lepidopteran hosts. It doesn't sting, although it might jab you with its ovipositor if you handle it carelessly. Posted 4 years ago
