Blistered Grass Hopper (Pyrgomorph) females are longer and more robust  than males. This species (there are 4) cover most of central Australia from eastern NSW to the west coast of WA. They move so little that their entire life can be spent on a single plant.  Pyrgomorph differ from grasshopper/locust in having a conically pointed head rather than a rounded blunt-ended head.
