Here one can see the full plant and its natural setting, a mountain meadow. <br /> <br /> I found these beautiful lilies in Montenegro where I spent a couple of weeks hiking and photographing. The species is somehow questionable as I found descriptions as lilium bosniacum but also lilium albanicum. Some sources also classify it as Carniolan lily (lilum carniolicum) (these are usually orange)... Whatever the actual species, incredible wild beauty! I found these beautiful lilies in Montenegro where I spent a couple of weeks hiking and photographing. The species is somehow questionable as I found descriptions as lilium bosniacum but also lilium albanicum. ''Lilium bosniacum'' is a lily native to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It's also known as ''Zlatni Ljiljan'' and ''Bosanski Ljiljan'' . ''L. bosniacum'' has often been lumped and split and lumped again.
