  1. Just three species within Hardenbergia - the short, rounded leaves here do not fit for any of those three whose leaves are dark, flat, glossy green and lanceolate, 75 to 100 mm in length. I think this is a Hovea species. Also, Hardenbergia violaceae is a climber with very thin stalks, these look more shrub like. Posted 4 years ago
    1. Hi Ruth, I hope the virus problems doesn’t impact to much on you.
In regards to the Hardenbergs violacea I can only tell you that I checked Flora species list for Aldinga scrub flora reserve and this Hardenbergia species is the only one listed for this reserve. Also no Hovea species is mentioned for Aldinga scrub flora reserve.
Separate from this I uploaded it to INaturalist and it verified to me that Hardenbergia violacea is correct.
Stay safe and hopefully all the lockdowns will end soon.

      1. I've never seen H. violacea with leaves like this. Do you have a wider shot of the plant that might help me? Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
        1. Ruth, sorry no other image but you might be interested in the comment one of the INaturalist identifiers put up. See comment in brackets.

From those thicker leaves it looks like it's growing through an Alyxia buxifolia)
