The wolverine, pronounced /ˈwʊlvəriːn/, "Gulo gulo", also referred to as glutton, carcajou, skunk bear, or quickhatch, is the largest land-dwelling species of the family Mustelidae. It is a stocky and muscular carnivore, more closely resembling a small bear than other mustelids. The wolverine has a reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to kill prey many times larger than itself.

Because I wasn't too happy with this shot at first: I had to shoot it through glass, so had to focus manually, and that creature wouldn't stand still for only one moment!
Ferdy, when my dictionary prompted "wolverine" as the English name of this animal, I couldn't believe it and checked another dictionary before posting... Posted 12 years ago
