Himacerus mirmicoides - Nymph Older image (2011). With the wing length of adults being variable in this species, it is hard to recognize the stadium of nymphs by the length of the wing cases. That said, I&#039;m pretty confident this one is a last (5th) stadium nymph of what will become a brachypterous imago.<br />
Compare here with what I take to be a macropterous version:<br />
