There were quite a number of these off the Italian coast of Apulia on a day when we went boating off the coast of Gargano NP. Too many to actually get in the water with them - so this was taken from the bow.

  1. An image of elegant simplicity and beauty.....and such lovely colour to the water in that location! I've only ever seen a large grouping of jellies once, in Sydney Harbour a few years ago, quite by chance as I happened to look down from a pier. And it was wonderful! Such intriguing life forms.     1. Indeed, the Monterrey Aquarium had an exhibit on Jellyfish and it was extremely popular - and has been since copied by many other aquariums. I recently read that these exhibits consistently poll as the visitor's favorite. I saw one in the Aquarium of the Pacific and it was magical; I understand why they are so popular. Posted 4 years ago
