“Said the Spider to the Fly!” Yet another flower crab spider this time with an unfortunate fly. I am having a hard time believing this female might be the same one I photographed earlier.<br />

Yet another flower crab spider this time with an unfortunate fly. I am having a hard time believing this female might be the same one I photographed earlier.

A Female Misumena vatia. She has decided to set up shop on the lower petal of a sweet pea blossom. To me not the best camouflage but who am I to say.  Canada,Geotagged,Goldenrod crab spider,Misumena vatia,Summer

"Misumena vatia" is a species of crab spider with holarctic distribution. In North America, where it is the largest and best-known flower spider, it is called the goldenrod crab spider or flower spider, because it is commonly found hunting in goldenrod sprays in the autumn.
