        My apologies. I've spent most of this week undergoing various medical tests so was somewhat distracted.

          Ah, no worries. Even if you miss it, they will always be welcome. Would be cool if we can get lepidoptera to 4,000 this year, from the current 3,939.

The Black garden ant

The black garden ant is a formicine ant, the type species of the subgenus ''Lasius'', found all over Europe and in some parts of North America and Asia. It is monogynous, meaning colonies have a single queen.
