Palthis angulalis?? I&#039;ve never seen such a dark Palthis angulalis, but I&#039;m not sure what else it could be.<br />

Palthis angulalis??

I've never seen such a dark Palthis angulalis, but I'm not sure what else it could be.

  1. Some photos of Lascoria ambigualis are equally dark and it's somewhat of a match, but still think yours is much more likely. Posted 4 years ago

      1. I'd go with Palthis. The AM line on this one is curved while in Lascoria ambigualis it is mostly straight. Also, the palps are very long for Lascoria ambigualis. Posted 4 years ago

The Dark-spotted Palthis is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Newfoundland west to coastal British Columbia, south to Florida and Texas.
