The black-olive caterpillar is a moth of the family Nolidae. It has a pantropical distribution, including the eastern North America, the Caribbean, the Iberian Peninsula, Australia, Guam, Fiji, Samoa, the Galápagos Islands and the Chagos Archipelago.
