
Australian waxflower in bud
Plants of the genus Chamelaucium range in growth from 15 cm to 3 m in height. The best known one is Geraldton wax flower, a native shrub growing to around 2 m in height, endemic to south western Western Australia.
Each flower will be just 10 mm diameter.

"Chamelaucium uncinatum", the Geraldton waxflower, Geraldton wax, is a flowering plant endemic to Western Australia. It is an erect shrub 0.5 to 4m high, bearing white or pink flowers June–November. The name "uncinatum" means "hooked" in Latin, in reference to the tips of the leaves.
Similar species: Myrtles, Evening Primroses.
